Yes. Our 3000°F dense castable is formulated for structural monolithic linings. You can cast a complete forge hearth, boiler firebox, or furnace floor. For walls and arched roofs, we recommend using steel anchors welded to the outer metal shell to support the cast thickness and prevent sagging during operation.
Add 5.5%–6.5% water by weight (approx. 1.4–1.6 liters per 25kg bag). Use only clean water; never add extra water to make it flow easier. Cover the cast surface with plastic sheeting and cure at ambient temperature (≥20°C) for 24 hours. After curing, heat slowly at ≤15°C/hour up to 350°C and hold for 18 hours to safely evaporate chemically bound water before firing to operating temperature.
Regular refractory mortar (often called air-setting cement) is a fine paste only suitable for thin joints (≤3mm) between pre-fired bricks. It crumbles if used to build a thick monolithic structure. Castable refractory cement contains coarse, medium, and fine aggregates that interlock to form a dense, high-strength structural lining when poured.
